Per Larry Brooks, making his triumphant return after the expansion draft, the Rangers currently do not have Jack Eichel’s medical records. This likely means a trade is not imminent.
As speculation re Eichel mounts, can tell you that Rangers have still not received access to his medical records from Sabres. So, there is nothing close at this point.

While a trade may not be imminent, that does not mean a trade in the near future won’t happen. The draft is tomorrow, and things change in a hurry. What this might do, however, is take some of the excitement out of today. We’ve already have the Mark Giordano rumor quashed, and now the Eichel rumor is at least kicked down the road a little more. I’m sure everyone is sick of hearing about him with no progress in either direction. That might be the first indicator, when the Rangers get Eichel’s medical records.
Maybe we get something on Ryan Strome, who the Rangers are shopping again. We do need that first domino to fall though, as everything is connected. The Rangers won’t trade Strome without another trade or plan in the works to replace him. We’re all connected. New York Telephone.
