With Vincent Trocheck out, the Rangers lines tonight are changing, though likely not as much as people would like. There will be no recalls, so no prospects are rejoining the Rangers. Juuso Parssinen draws in as Mika Zibanejad shifts back to centering the top line and Conor Sheary replaces Zibanejad at wing on the second line. Parssinen will take Sheary’s spot on the third line. The fourth line and defense pairs remain the same.

Artemi Panarin-Mika Zibanejad-Alexis Lafreniere
Will Cuylle-JT Miller-Conor Sheary
Juuso Parssinen-Noah Laba-Taylor Raddysh
Adam Edstrom-Sam Carrick-Matt Rempe

Vlad Gavrikov-Adam Fox
Carson Soucy-Will Borgen
Urho Vaakanainen-Braden Schneider

At the risk of being repetitive, the Rangers will allow the veterans–Raddysh, Sheary, Parssinen–to play a little bit before recalling kids. The kids have a higher ceiling, but there’s no need to rush them. Let the vets get more than two games, see how they do, and when the time comes, recall Perreault, Brett Berard, Scott Morrow, etc.

The Rangers lines tonight reflect this approach.
