Before last night’s disaster, the Rangers signed 2022 4th round pick Noah Laba to a two year entry level contract. The 6’2, 191 lb center, has quickly risen the prospect rankings and has been a regular in Hope’s monthly prospect rankings. Laba put together a terrific three years at Colorado College, putting up 41-44-85 in 100 games and carrying the 2023-2024 team to a NCHC tournament appearance.

Laba’s ELC doesn’t begin until next season, so he will join the Hartford Wolf Pack on an amateur tryout for the remainder of the year. Laba projects as a solid 3C with 2C upside and is easily the Rangers top center prospect.

Noah Laba is expected to play a top-six role in all situations with Hartford both during his ATO and next season. He’s likely at least a year away.
