As the New York Rangers prepare for the Florida Panthers on Wednesday night, we were treated to some good news. Filip Chytil returned to his 3rd line role alongside Alex Wennberg and Kaapo Kakko, signaling he is good to go for Game 1 on Wednesday night. Chytil also replaced Kakko on PP2, presenting more evidence he is good to go.

Chytil looked a bit rusty to start Game 3 against Carolina, his official return, but got better as the game went on. He looked great alongside Wennberg and Kakko. He then missed the next three games with an illness, which is likely the stomach bug that ran through the Rangers clubhouse before Game 5.

With Chytil back, Will Cuylle drops to the fourth line with Barclay Goodrow and Jimmy Vesey. For now, it looks like Matt Rempe will also be out, which makes sense given Chytil’s return.
