Filip Chytil returns to practice; playoffs an option?

Speechless is the only word right now. Filip Chytil has not only returned to practice today, but he’s in a normal jersey, not a non-contact jersey. He has been fully cleared to play. Chytil has been out since the end of October with a concussion and a failed attempt at a return in January.

He’s a full go, with no non-contact jersey. Word from a source is that he’s been medically cleared. The #NYR are obviously prioritizing Chytil’s health given everything he’s been through, but I’m also hearing the playoffs aren’t out of the question if all goes well 👀 https://t.co/SZcZs2tkSe

It’s not quite clear if Chytil will be able to return for the playoffs, at least not yet. It’s also unclear if Chytil will get a game in before (if) he returns, as the Rangers are using his LTIR overage at the moment.

If he’s able to return, the Rangers may have just pulled a Tampa and a Vegas. We can dive into that
