Per Mollie Walker, Rangers captain and defenseman Jacob Trouba will return to the lineup tonight. Trouba had been out since March 9 against St. Louis, just before both Ryan Lindgren and Erik Gustafsson were injured the following week.
With Trouba back, it’s like Chad Ruhwedel will be the healthy scratch, though that has yet to be determined. That would restore the Rangers top-four for the playoffs, and give Zac Jones an extended look with Braden Schneider while Gustafsson is still out.
Matt Rempe will be the healthy scratch up front, meaning no changes to the forward lines. Jonathan Quick will get the start with a chance to become the all time winningest American born goaltender.
