The Rangers really can’t catch any breaks, can they? Ryan Lindgren was hurt last night. Filip Chytil suffered what looked like a major set back. And now, we have Jacob Trouba with a hearing with the NHL DoPS for an elbow on Vegas’ Pavel Dorofeyev.
I deleted a tweet because it was the wrong Hit. Here is the clip of Trouba elbowing Dorofeyev #NYR https://t.co/4gibUhd0bD pic.twitter.com/9ENhPnKVX6

This sounds like a phone hearing, so at most it’s a 5 game suspension. Based on Brendan Gallagher’s 5 game suspension, Trouba should be getting just a fine for this. It’s definitely an elbow off the draw, behind the linesman, and a fineable offense. Trouba is not considered a repeat offender, with his only suspension coming 7 years ago in 2017. Despite what the haters say, he’s delivered his hits within the rule book.
Again, this is expected to be a fine, not a suspension.
