Immediately after Adam Sykora and Slovakia steamrolled Czechia, Team USA won their first contest in the 2024 World Juniors, taking care of business against Norway. The 4-1 victory may not have been the total domination many expected, but it’s a strong win in their first game of the tournament. Slovakia and the USA are in the same group, so they will meet during round robin play.
Gabe Perreault, the Rangers 1st rounder in 2023, had a pretty assist in 15:03 TOI. Drew Fortescue, the Rangers 3rd rounder this year, also had an assist in 18:49 TOI.
Team USA plays again today tomorrow at 11am against Switzerland.
