riley nash hartford

With Barclay Goodrow returning to action last night after a one game absence, the Rangers have returned forward Riley Nash to Hartford. Nash was recalled late last week after Goodrow took a puck to the mouth against Ottawa. Goodrow missed the 4-0 debacle in Washington before returning last night for the Blueshirts’ rebound win against the LA Kings.

Nash played 11 minutes in Washington on the Rangers fourth line and was far from the biggest problem in that game. Nash was serviceable and didn’t kill the Rangers that game. It was a good showing by a guy who has been around the block a few times.

Goodrow returning aside, since his performance has been a bit polarizing to start the season, it’s good to see that Nash can hold his own still. It puts more distance between the Rangers and Jake Leschyshyn returning to the lineup.
