Another day, another Rangers injury. This time, Rangers backup goalie Jonathan Quick is day to day, per Arthur Staple. With Jonathan Quick injured, the Rangers have recalled goalies Dylan Garand and Louis Domingue from the Hartford Wolf Pack. The Rangers also recalled Connor Mackey and Jonny Brodzinski, as the cap games continue.
Shesterkin still day to day and now Jonathan Quick (upper) is day to day, league source says, so Domingue or Garand might get the start tomorrow vs. Minny #NYR https://t.co/WEKHcWg8W9

Assuming both Quick and Igor Shesterkin are unavailable, it looks like Domingue will get the start tomorrow against the Minnesota Wild, with Garand serving as the backup. Garand, who is a very highly rated goaltending prospect, has put up solid numbers in the AHL with a .914 SV% in 5 games, serving as the starter while Domingue has been yo-yo’d the last few days.
It’s a good thing the Rangers are getting all these injuries out of the way in October and November. Better than April and May.
