Bobby Trivigno was among the most recent round of Rangers cuts

In addition to the 6 players placed on waivers earlier today, the Rangers sent another 5 players to the Hartford Wolf Pack. Bobby Trivigno, Ryder Korczak, Karl Henriksson, Nikolas Brouillard, and Blake Hillman (PTO) were all sent to the AHL with Hartford’s camp opening on Sunday.

None were really in the running for a roster spot this season, and time is now running out for Trivigno, who will turn 25 in January, and Henriksson (23 in February), as both are on their final years of their respective entry level contracts. Korczak just turned 21, so there’s more time for him.

It will be interesting to see where Korczak in particular plays in the Hartford lineup. As a skilled forward that needs development time, he could really play anywhere. However with a recent emphasis on development in Hartford, we may see him get prime minutes to help him grow into a bottom six contributor.

Adam Clendening was also released from his PTO.
