The Rangers hit the ice for the first time this preseason, traveling to Boston to take on the Bruins. The lineup tonight doesn’t have many NHLers tonight for the Rangers, but it has a few kids to watch and a potential third line that may click. If you’re expecting to see what the Rangers might look like on opening night, lower your expectations. This is going to be a kids game, with some like Will Cuylle looking to impress and earn a spot out of camp.

The Bruins don’t have many NHLers going either,  This won’t be much of a “what to expect” kind of a game for either team. However we may get some kind of inkling into Peter Laviolette’s system, assuming this group executes as expected. That’s a big IF, however.
