The NY Rangers have made three additional roster moves, two designed to fit Patrick Kane and one minor trade. The Blueshirts have recalled Braden Schneider and returned Ryan Carpenter to the AHL. This move was expected.
UPDATE: Braden Schneider has been recalled from @WolfPackAHL and Ryan Carpenter has been assigned to Hartford. In addition, Austin Rueschhoff was traded to Nashville for future considerations.

The Blueshirts have also traded AHL forward Austin Rueschhoff to the Nashville Predators for future considerations. This trade was a minor surprise. Rueschhoff is from Missouri, so perhaps this was a request to be closer to home? It’s tough to tell, and that’s just speculation.
The moves leave the Rangers with no cap space for the rest of the season. Per Larry Brooks, they will carry 12 forwards and 7 defensemen for the remainder of the season. If there is an injury up front, the Blueshirts will need to play one game shorthanded and then have an emergency recall.
