Welcome to yet another article of Blue Seat Bookie! I will highlight three bets that look extremely promising about twice per week.  Tuesday’s bets were a rough start, admittedly. We hit on the over for Buffalo/Vancouver, but missed on Montreal covering against the white-hot Devils. We nearly hit on Dallas over Tampa, but it took a gimmicky overtime to lose that one.

Overall record: 1-2

Define the Great Money line (Record: 0-1)

New Jersey Devils Money line +120 against Toronto Maple Leafs

The New Jersey Devils are hotter than Satan himself right now. They have not just beaten teams during this 10 game winning streak, but have absolutely demolished them on the scoresheet, underlying metrics, and are riding high with confidence. Led by Jesper Bratt, Nico Hischier, Jack Hughes, and Dougie Hamilton, look for the Devils luck to continue to be firing high as they face a Toronto Maple Leafs team that is dealing with both goaltending and defensive injuries, and is 5-2-3 in their last ten games.

Pull up the Covers (Record: 0-1)

Florida Panthers Cover -1.5 +145 over the Dallas Stars

Dallas on the second game of their Florida road trip will likely take a step back playing against the 9-6-1 Florida Panthers. Historically, this matchup has been tight when games are played in Florida, but of the last 7 games, Florida has beaten Dallas by 2 goals 4 out of 7 times, including last year’s matchup when Florida demolished the Stars in Sunrise 7-1. Look for the Panthers to score and to score a lot. They have averaged 4.4 Goals in their last five games. Can they keep the likes of Jason Robertson, Roope Hintz, and Joe Pavelski at bay?

Overs or Unders (Record: 1-0)

New York Rangers at Seattle Kraken Over 6 goals +100

We are a Rangers blog, I am a Rangers fan, so why not include a bet here?! The Rangers have indeed had some pretty low goal totals, averaging 3.6 in their last 5 games. However, this team is due to break out based on many of their underlying metrics. They dominate possession of the puck, and take a lot of shots on goal.

They have had a few days off before going out to Seattle for their western road trip. What better way to start a road trip than to go put 3-4 goals on an opponent? The Seattle Kraken have been no slouches either, a 2nd year franchise that–while still finding their identity in the grand scheme–is putting the puck in the net thanks to some scoring additions in the offseason. Look for a 4-3 or a 5-4 game here.

May the Stonks be ever in your favor.
