The Rangers are in Philly tonight on the second of a back to back in what is their first meaningless hockey game of the year. But this time around, it’s meaningless hockey in a good way. The Rangers have their playoff opponents set (most likely), and need a borderline miracle to win the division. Thus, this is meaningless hockey.
What doesn’t make it meaningless is the Rangers resting some guys. As of the writing of this post, the lineup hasn’t been released aside from Filip Chytil is back. Expect Alex Georgiev to play. I’d expect a regular or two to rotate in and out until the season starts.
