Per Frank Seravalli on Daily Faceoff, the Rangers are looking in on Phil Kessel as a potential rental winger.

This isn’t much of a surprise, as Chris Drury appears to be targeting low cost rentals. However it does look like Kessel is option #3 on their list, with Rickard Rakell and Andrew Copp as their top two options. Kessel will come cheap, is a good playoff producer, and is still able to score. He doesn’t do much else, but he can still shoot the puck.
