The Rangers are back at it tonight, looking to build upon their win in Buffalo with a strong showing against Nashville. The schedule makers weren’t kind to the Rangers, with some odd travel arrangements this week, and Nashville isn’t the same team the Rangers beat in October. This team is rolling now.
#NYR notes for NSH:
– NSH is rolling in the last 2 weeks: 3rd in both xGF & xGA per 60
– 1L/1D are real good (>53% xG), 2D/3D are both >50% xG. Scoring Chance generation will be key
– 2L/4L are still new, while 3L could be a weakness <47% xGA pretty legit test for #NYR pic.twitter.com/jFpTx4ZoSv

The good news is that Nashville is top heavy, which means the Rangers have the better matchups down the lineup. But that also means their top five can really score and change the game for the Preds. If the Rangers can dictate the pace of the game and force Nashville’s top line to slow it down a bit, they will be able to come away with the win.
