The Rangers are back at it tonight in their first of a back to back, facing San Jose in their second of a back to back. The Sharks are not good, and this is again another game that could be viewed as a trap game. However the Rangers haven’t allowed these to trap them this year. They are a different team mentally, and it shows in games like these.
Despite San Jose being bad, they still have talent. They have some skill up front and still have a decent-ish blue line. This is again a team that can make you pay if you sleepwalk through a game.
As of the writing of this post (Friday afternoon), Morgan Barron is in and Barclay Goodrow is out. Knowing Gerard Gallant, that may change.
