The Rangers have looked awful the last five games, and only Igor Shesterkin has kept them from losing a bunch of games. The good news is the Rangers know they’ve been bad. The other good news is they’ve had four days to reset and recharge. Hopefully this means they are better able to adjust and the real Rangers will start to show.
#NYR notes for CBJ tomorrow:
– Slow start to the year for CBJ but more avg. as of late, struggling with xGA/60.
– Forward lines are in a blender, but maybe watch for the 2L/1D.
– 2D has been bad, another chance for the NYR top six.
– CBJ hosts WSH tonight, B2B game for them. pic.twitter.com/5QRXH95JjV— Rob Luker (@RLuker12) November 12, 2021
This is yet another opportunity for the Rangers to take advantage of an inferior team, especially since they are on the second of a back to back. Columbus doesn’t have much in terms of offensive or defensive depth, but they still have some talent in the top half of the lineup. A more focused attack and defensive presence should make this a better process game for the Rangers.
Should.
