NY Rangers trade Vitali Kravtsov to Vancouver for nothing.
PHILADELPHIA, PA - SEPTEMBER 21: New York Rangers right wing Vitali Kravtsov (74) breaks his stick taking trying to take slap shot during the NHL Preseason game between the New York Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers on September 21, 2019, at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA. Per Darren Dreger, who as a reminder said that a Tony DeAngelo trade was “imminent”, there is good interest in Rangers forward Vitali Kravtsov. Kravtsov requested a trade earlier this week after getting cut and being sent to the AHL.

If there wasn’t any interest in Kravtsov, a top-ten pick that is still just 21 years old and on his ELC, I would have been surprised. I am also not surprised that the Rangers are expecting the same potential in a return. They don’t have much leverage though, so they can expect all they want.

I’d like to think this gets done relatively quickly, since the Rangers do have a need at RW with Kravtsov’s absence. However these things do take time.
