Per Darren Dreger, who as a reminder said that a Tony DeAngelo trade was “imminent”, there is good interest in Rangers forward Vitali Kravtsov. Kravtsov requested a trade earlier this week after getting cut and being sent to the AHL.
Good interest in Vitali Kravtsov. I’m told he’s willing to play in the AHL with another NHL club and would consider a 1 year agreement around his qualifying offer for next season. However, the NYR are expecting the potential of top 6 talent in return via trade.

If there wasn’t any interest in Kravtsov, a top-ten pick that is still just 21 years old and on his ELC, I would have been surprised. I am also not surprised that the Rangers are expecting the same potential in a return. They don’t have much leverage though, so they can expect all they want.
I’d like to think this gets done relatively quickly, since the Rangers do have a need at RW with Kravtsov’s absence. However these things do take time.
