NY Rangers prospect Hunter Skinner has signed with the Utah Grizzlies in the ECHL. Skinner was going to head back to the OHL, but that season is still up in the air. The fourth round pick from 2019 played in the 2021 World Juniors with Team USA, winning gold.
Skinner was slated to go back to the OHL’s London Knights, where he put up 6-26-32 in 62 games last season. He will play in the ECHL until the OHL season begins, if it ever does.
Skinner will not be eligible to play with the Hartford Wolf Pack. He is not with the Maine Mariners, who had their season cancelled. Playing in the ECHL is a temporary thing for Hunter Skinner, and it at least keeps him playing hockey.
