For the first time since the Rangers and Jets made a pair of trades that eventually landed both Jacob Trouba and Brendan Lemieux in New York, they will face off in Winnipeg. The reception for Trouba is expected to be poor, since he more or less forced his way out for family reasons. Lemieux likely wasn’t there long enough to garner any sort of reaction.
Igor Shesterkin gets the start again, as the Rangers are clearly riding the hot hand. It also helps that neither Henrik Lundqvist nor Alex Georgiev, while having some great starts here and there, have been consistent enough to warrant longer looks. The rest of the lineup appears to be the same.
