Game 7: Rangers structure and Structure the clothing store have a lot in common

Neither exists

The Rangers are back in action tonight against an Arizona Coyotes team that is built to contend and is pretty skilled. Adding Phil Kessel in the offseason really made that top line a potent force, and they have some decent depth to round out the lineup. They also play a puck possession game, which in this matchup for the Rangers presents a nightmare.

The Blueshirts, meanwhile, have jumbled their lines again. But it’s only lipstick on a pig. There are serious structure issues going on here. It’s a rebuild, and this is clearly a step back from last year’s team. I think those that didn’t wear the rose colored glasses saw this coming.

  • Dave, come on now, don’t shrug off your crazy predictions. That’s my favorite part of the game threads.

Ok I’ll do it: Ranger win: 4-2

  • It’s only the 7th game of the season and the team is still searching, juggling and experimenting. Don’t forget this is a BRAND NEW team with all the new players including free agents, rookies etc, and DQ doesn’t have an experienced 2C on the roster. It also takes time for the players to have chemistry with each other with all the new lines in the new season. Where is the “PATIENCE” that the BSB Hockey experts are preaching everyday?

    • Great point Larry. Team chemistry takes time. The Rangers are a very young team they will need time to grow together.

  • Why panic now when there’s plenty of tome to panic later?

That being said, Kakko might need to spend a month in the gym to work on his strength while in Hartford. He’s not adapting well to stick checks.
