The New York Rangers have traded center Vincent Trocheck to the Utah Mammoth. The return is defenseman Sean Durzi, a 27 year old right handed defenseman with 2 years and $6 million left on his deal, center prospect Cole Beaudoin, a former 2024 1st round pick, and a 2027 3rd round pick. Durzi likely replaces whomever goes to Vancouver in the rumored Marcus Pettersson trade.

Chris Drury is swinging for the fences, and it’s hard not to look at this as a win for the Rangers. Beaudoin is a solid center prospect and Durzi is a solid RD. We will need to see how that Pettersson trade works out, but this is a good return for Trocheck.
