Less than an hour after trading for him, the Rangers sign Pavel Dorofeyev to a 7 year contract with an $11 million cap hit. The cap hit is a bit more than the Evolving-Hockey projection, which had a 7 year contract in the $8 million range, but $11 million for a 25 year old (26 in October) winger who is good for 35 goals and 60 points is a great contract.
The trade and contract for Pavel Dorofeyev are both solid work by Chris Drury. Credit where credit is due.
