The Rangers tank rolls on, losing both of their games in the LA area as they head to north to San Jose tonight to face the upstart Sharks. San Jose is apparently in on Artemi Panarin, though that fit needed some mental gymnastics to make work. San Jose is mostly carried by Macklin Celebrini and a returning Will Smith up front, so they could use Panarin to balance things out. They also desperately need defensive help. There’s something here, but whether San Jose wants to pony up the pieces remains to be seen.

There are no “roster management” scratches tonight. At least not yet.
