The Rangers got Tom Wilson’d the other night, losing both Conor Sheary and Noah Laba for multiple weeks. With them out, the Rangers recalled three AHL forwards and, for the most part, are dressing what can only be described as a preseason lineup at best. Even with all of Florida’s injuries, they are climbing the standings fast and the Rangers are in free fall. This is not a good team, and perhaps getting embarrassed on national TV will be good for the future.

Or not. Who knows at this point. Would you even know it’s the Winter Classic if the Rangers weren’t in it?
