The Rangers are 4-3-2 in December, a nice turnaround from whatever October and November were, but it’s simply not good enough. It’s not about the wins and losses, it’s about the inconsistency and inability to score. The Rangers routinely get beat by younger, faster teams and that won’t change. The recalls of Gabe Perreault and Brennan Othmann were seen as signs the Rangers were shifting to youth in the top-nine, but both played in the bottom-six. It’s a directionless team playing against a young Flyers team that still has good skill and is ahead of the Rangers in the standings with games in hand. Sigh. That’s how this year is going, I guess.

FYI – this was written around 7am, so the line combos are presumed from the last game each team played.
