NY Rangers Fan Confidence Poll-December 8, 2025: Turning a corner?

The Rangers didn’t lose in regulation during their gauntlet week, beating Dallas in OT, Ottawa on the road, and then losing in OT to both Colorado and Vegas.

In this week’s Patreon post (subscribe here!), Dave joked that the Rangers pulled us all back in following the strong win over Dallas. There’s a lot to be hopeful for right now.

Live From the Blue Seats talked the Rangers finally putting it together. Even without Fox, the Rangers look better, so perhaps patience truly was all that was needed.

For some reason the Rangers were linked to Erik Gustafsson and Bryan Rust, which makes little sense.

The Gustafsson rumor was because life without Adam Fox could get ugly, but Fox isn’t out super long term.

The Rust rumor was to help with top six scoring to get out of the middle of the pack, but there are better options.

These rumors are coming as the Olympics roster freeze nears. Chris Drury needs to thread the needle on the retool. Can he do it?

Speaking of Fox, the Rangers made a small tweak to their breakouts with their star out for December. So far, it’s paying dividence.

The Rangers lost Adam Edstrom for most of last week. He isn’t on IR so hopefully he returns soon.

Scott Morrow is not being used on the powerplay, which is odd. If the Rangers aren’t sold on him, they should cut losses sooner rather than later while Morrow still has value.

One person helping mitigate the Fox absence is Will Borgen, who has been excellent and is turning that Kaapo Kakko trade into a masterclass.

Marian Gaborik was an underappreciated force for the Rangers when he was on Broadway.
