Vincent Trocheck game time decision for the New York Rangers

Per Colin Stephenson, Vincent Trocheck will be a game time decision tonight. The cause is still unknown, as no injury was specified. With JT Miller confirmed out, the Rangers are without their top-two centers tonight with St. Louis coming to town. This means Juuso Parssinen will be getting 2C minutes tonight. On the bright side, despite not being one of the top-two centers to start the season, Mika Zibanejad is still in and centering the first line. Noah Laba remains the 3C.

Laba is sticking on the third line with Brett Berard and Conor Sheary. That line may not score, but they will at least give the Rangers some life with the way they play. Parssinen will play with Jonny Brodzinski and Artemi Panarin.

This could get real ugly, real fast, especially since Will Borgen is still out. I know you can’t necessarily account for this many injuries, but any situation where Parssinen is the 2C and Carson Soucy is the 2LD is a product of poor roster management. It’s difficult not to look at what Chris Drury has done in the last year and not put tonight’s lineup solely on his feet.
