The Rangers lines tonight will be the best they’ve looked since the season opener. Vincent Trocheck returns tonight, centering the second line with Artemi Panarin and Alexis Lafreniere. Gabe Perreault, who was recalled yesterday, will make his season debut on the top line with Mika Zibanejad as center and JT Miller on the wing. This bumps Will Cuylle to the third line, likely where he belongs at this point in his career, alongside Noah Laba and Taylor Raddysh, no longer in the top six.

Will Cuylle-Noah Laba-Taylor Raddysh
Adam Edstrom-Sam Carrick-Conor Sheary
Vlad Gavrikov-Adam Fox
Carson Soucy-Will Borgen
Urho Vaakanainen-Braden Schneider
What’s rather amusing is all the talk about how Mika Zibanejad is no longer a center. Well he proved essentially everyone wrong already, and now Miller is on the wing. Since Perreault is a RW, which is where Zibanejad was playing when he was a wing, it made sense to just shift Miller to LW, where he split time while in Vancouver.
That left defense still needs work though.
