The Rangers had a lot to celebrate yesterday in Detroit. Noah Laba scored in his home town in front of dozens of friends and family. Jaroslav Chmelar made a good impression in his debut with 6:27 TOI, winning a fight, and looking pretty good overall. Artemi Panarin had a multi point game after shaving his head. And the powerplay actually scored a goal. Everything came up Milhouse for the Rangers last night, but now they travel back to the World’s Most Haunting Arena, where they face an Islanders team that hasn’t won in MSG in 3 years.

The Rangers don’t draw penalties at all, but the Islanders take a lot of penalties and are horrendous on the penalty kill. Does that play out well for the Rangers?

Something has to give tonight. Either the Rangers finally win at home or the Isles finally break their streak. Given the Isles are a tire fire defensively and also on the second of a back to back, perhaps this bodes well.
