The Rangers blanked Vancouver the other night, righting the ship defensively after a dreadful game in Calgary. Now they go up against a very dangerous Oilers team that, despite dressing 11 forwards and 7 defensemen, can and will make the Rangers pay if they get sloppy again. The Rangers did a good job limiting Edmonton on offense at MSG two weeks ago, but did so at the expense of their own offense. At some point both will click. Hopefully.

It would be nice to see a few wins in a row, especially if one or two come against playoff teams. Edmonton is a sure fire playoff team, so a win against them goes a long way for confidence building. Throw in that it would be their second win in a row, and perhaps it’s the start of something. I feel like I’m just rewording Lou Brown from Major League, but hey he was right.
