The Rangers seem to find comfort playing away from MSG, or at least they find goals away from MSG. The Oilers on Tuesday night were their first true test of the season, and the Rangers answered the call with a solid game that Stuart Skinner stole from them. Tonight it’s another tough test in Toronto, another playoff team. Toronto is a run and gun team, scoring 17 goals and allowing 15 in their four games this year. For contrast, the Rangers have 10 goals for and 7 against in 5 games.
It will be interesting to see what the lines look like, as Mike Sullivan essentially benched the third line against Edmonton. Noah Laba deserves better linemates and that third line doesn’t really have a role. Will Borgen is a game time decision. If he can’t go, Scott Morrow will be in the lineup.
