The Rangers managed to win a game on Sam Rosen night, which was nice considering they basically no-showed that game too. But a win is a win, and two points is two points. Beggars can’t be choosers with so few games remaining and a lot of ground to make up. The Rangers are now out west to try to make up said ground with winnable games starting tonight in Los Angeles. The Kings are good, and they are excellent at home, but they are a flawed team that has trouble scoring. They can be beaten.
This is the time to beat up on middle level teams like LA before their games against lottery bound Anaheim and San Jose. Montreal has a rough patch in their schedule, with four of their next five against playoff teams. This is the Rangers’ last chance to make up ground, as April is a gauntlet. It’s now or never.
