The 2025 World Juniors kick off today, and the New York Rangers are sending three prospects to this year’s tournament. Representing Team USA for the second straight year are forward Gabe Perreault (1st round, 2023) and defenseman Drew Fortescue (3rd round, 2023). Forward Rico Gredig (6th round, 2024) will be representing Switzerland for the second straight year. Team USA is one of the favorites.
In the 2024 tournament, Perreault was tied for second in scoring on Team USA with 3 goals and 10 points, which was also good for 7th in scoring across the tournament. Perreault is the only player in the top-12 in scoring from last year’s tournament to return for this year.
Fortescue finished with a goal and 4 points. Gredig played 5 games and had an assist.
