The Rangers are in the post-Jacob Trouba era, as their maligned former captain has been traded. Victor Mancini has been called up and will play tonight with Zac Jones, his primary defense partner during his first stint after training camp. The good news is the Rangers have a soft landing with a rivalry game against a bad team. The bad news is that it’s still a rivalry game and Sidney Crosby is still Sidney Crosby.
The only thing we know for certain is Trouba is gone. What we don’t know is how the club is going to react to him being traded. If they are still sour, then it will show. If it woke them up, it will also show. We shall see, I guess.
