The Rangers finally won a game, albeit against the Montreal Canadiens while also blowing a two goal lead before winning it late. But a win’s a win, and now the Rangers stay at MSG to face a very good playoff bound Devils team that, after a slow start, are starting to look like the playoff team we knew they were. Goaltending is still a concern, but the Devils are well built even if underperforming a bit right now.

The Rangers are going to be without Brett Berard, hurt against Montreal, and Jimmy Vesey, who is scratched for Jonny Brodzinski. These are mostly lateral moves, though Berard’s energy will be missed. The Devils are good, and having good process is really the only steady way to beat them.
