If you’re following us on social media, you know that we are migrating all of our social media content to Bluesky, leaving Twitter in the process. Most of the staff is still using both platforms, though myself and Rob C. are permanently over on Bluesky. I have also completely scrubbed my Twitter account and made it private.
For those wondering why, it was a pretty easy decision for me. At the number of followers I had (11,000 before I left), my replies had become a bit of a cesspool. There were few hockey comments, and the $8 paid checkmark brigade was less than tolerable in my replies. There was also the changed algorithm, which muted a lot of my content and that of the writers.
Neither of these were issues before Elon Musk bought Twitter.
I will no longer be posting on Twitter, ever. I’m done there. If you want to follow me on Bluesky, you can do so by clicking here. If you want to find the rest of the BSB staff, you can do so by following the starter pack I created here.
We thank you for your patience as we continue to make the switch.
