We have a FIlip Chytil injury update, and while it’s not good, it could be a lot worse. Chytil is not traveling with the Rangers on this west coast trip, which was somewhat expected. Chytil collided with K’Andre Miller in their win over San Jose, attempted a return, but missed the third period. Given his injury history, the Rangers are playing it extra cautious with Chytil.

The Rangers are leaving it open for Chytil to join the club at some point next week, but I would expect them to let him rest for the next 9 days and attempt a return when the Rangers return home.

Jonny Brodzinski is expected to take Chytil’s spot in the lineup. Jake Leschyshyn has been recalled as an extra forward for the extended road trip.
