Per Vince Mercogliano, the NY Rangers lines tonight are actually pretty close to what we should expect on opening night next week, save for a few tweaks here and there. Artemi Panarin won’t play, and Brennan Othmann is playing in his spot. This will be Othmann’s 6th preseason game, which has to be some kind of Rangers record, though it’s not expected he will make the opening night roster.

Many are reading into Matthew Robertson getting a look at 3LD over Victor Mancini, but I don’t think it changes anything. Mancini will still break camp with the Rangers, and Robertson will go on waivers. Robertson simply hasn’t been good, so the risk of losing him isn’t that great. I think this is one last look at him to see where he fits in the pecking order.
