The Rangers assigned giant goalie Hugo Ollas to the Hartford Wolf Pack this morning, trimming their training camp roster to 47 in the process. It does seem odd that Ollas was the first goalie cut from camp, at least to me, given I rank him higher than Talyn Boyko at the moment, but that’s splitting hairs.
The NHL roster isn’t going to be a surprise, as Igor Shesterkin and Jonathan Quick will be the two goalies. The Pack will have Louis Domingue and Dylan Garand. That means Ollas and Talyn Boyko will be with the ECHL’s Bloomington Bison once the minor league camps open up.
