The NY Rangers have qualified 4 of their 6 restricted free agents, sending qualifying offers to NHLers Ryan Lindgren and Braden Schneider and AHLers Karl Henriksson and Matt Robertson. AHLers Bobby Trivigno and Olof Lindbom did not receive qualifying offers.

Lindgren’s qualifying offer is the most expensive at $3.6 million. The other three–Schneider, Henriksson, and Robertson– are all under $1 million. It is a bit surprising to see Henriksson get a QO since he is going back to Sweden, but the Rangers saw enough to keep team control.

Lindbom definitely didn’t play himself into a qualifying offer, as he was always a bad 2nd round pick and was pretty rough in the ECHL. Trivigno was a bit surprising, but there’s always a reason.
