Per Vince Mercogliano, Filip Chytil missed the morning skate in advance of Game 4 with an illness. His status for tonight’s potential clinching game is up in the air. Jonny Brodzinski skated with the regulars, a likely sign that he will sub-in for Chytil if he can’t go.
Brodzinski was the logical next man up, especially with Matt Rempe being targeted by both the refs for penalties and the Canes for matchups.
If Chytil can’t go, expect Will Cuylle to go back to his 3LW spot while Brodzinski will either be 4C or 4RW, depending on how Peter Laviolette draws up the lines. In the regular season, this trio was better with Brodzinski as the center, but Goodrow has had a strong playoffs.
For what it’s worth, Colin Stephenson has Brodzinski as the 4C right now. That’s the right move.
