The New York Rangers are up 1-0 on the Carolina Hurricanes, looking to make it 2-0 at home. Game 1 never really felt close until the final few minutes when Carolina pulled Andersen and had a lengthy 6-on-5 shift. The Blueshirts made a few adjustments as well, notably taking Matt Rempe out of the lineup tonight.

The Canes are still a top tier team that should not be overlooked, despite how well Game 1 went for them. We likely still haven’t seen the best they can offer. To be fair, we likely haven’t seen the best the Rangers can offer either.

Expect another dog fight and some chippy play. Also expect the Canes to adjust on the penalty kill that allowed two goals in 30 seconds in Game 1.
