The Rangers are back in action tonight as they continue to play every other night until the end of the regular season. The Blueshirts were humbled by the Penguins on Monday night, and hopefully that was enough to wake them up and tighten up defensively.

Erik Gustafsson is likely back tonight, although that hasn’t been confirmed as of the writing of this post (9pm last night). Zac Jones, who has been solid while the Rangers got healthy, will come out of the lineup. Matt Rempe also draws in, presumably since it’s the Devils, and Will Cuylle will sit.

Let’s take a second to laugh at the Devils, the offseason Cup winners, who won’t be in the playoffs. This is probably a blip for them, as they are a good team that was done in by bad coaching and worse goaltending, but it’s fun this year. Also worth noting that two of Detroit, Washington, Philadelphia, and the Isles will get into the playoffs because the Devils and Penguins were atrocious.
