The Rangers and Devils meet again tonight in a game that, when scheduled, was supposed to have playoff implications. Instead, the Devils shoddy goaltending and poor coaching has led to them –essentially– missing the playoffs this season. Lindy Ruff has been fired and the Devils are trying another goalie tonight, but it’s not enough to save their season.

Regardless of their season, the Devils are still a very dangerous team offensively. They can score with the best of them, even with Timo Meier struggling and Tyler Toffoli traded at the deadline. Even with the revamped Rangers lineup, the Devils can beat them, and anyone else in the league, with that offense.

This is the first of 5 games in 7 nights for the Rangers. Should be a fun week.
