The trade deadline has come and gone. The Rangers added solid complementary pieces in Jack Roslovic and Alex Wennberg, who will both play tonight. While we may not see what the true ceiling of this team is after one game, we will get an idea of what some semblance of roster balance looks like, the first time since October.

As a reminder, it’s exceedingly rare for trade deadline acquisitions to jump right in and be difference makers. Even Vladimir Tarasenko needed an adjustment period. It’s a new system, new linemates, a new locker room, and a lot of change in a short period of time. The good news is that neigher Roslovic nor Wennberg are expected to be “the” guy, so there’s less pressure.

The Blues are a bit of a soft landing spot, but they are still pretty good up fromt. Jordan Kyrou torched the Rangers in their last meeting, so buttoning up on defense is priority one.
