Ryan Lindgren injury

The Rangers lines tonight won’t see much change, as Ryan Lindgren will be in and Igor Shesterkin will start against the Dallas Stars at MSG. Lindgren’s status was up in the air after he took a stick to the face during the Rangers dramatic 6-5 OT win at the Stadium Series. Of course he’s fine after stitches and –probably– getting a new cyborg eyeball.

Lindgren will wear a full face shield. At this point, I feel like he should also be dressed in bubble wrap, but I digress.

Shesterkin will make his second straight start after a bit of a shaky performance at MetLife Stadium. It is much more difficult to track pucks outdoors due to shadows and sunlight, so let’s hope his performance against Calgary is more in line with what we see going forward.

The Rangers are going for their 8th straight win, and are 8-1-1 in their last 10 games.
