The Rangers are primed for a deep playoff run.

Don’t look now, but the Rangers have won five straight and are looking to make it six in a row with Montreal coming to town. Montreal isn’t good, but they aren’t bad either. Sam Montembeault is capable of stealing games and despite the injuries, Montreal still has some good skill. Sleep on them, and they make you pay.

The Rangers are still struggling to score consistently, but this time around it’s mostly the powerplay that is still struggling. We know the top line has had some issues that will hopefully get rectified at the trade deadline, but the second and third lines have been picking it up at 5v5. That’s progress, and we will take it.
